Summer Fun with Grandma!

Today my mom came by and brought a little unexpected summer fun to our afternoon! :) First of all she brought the makings for yummy Root Beer Floats, I haven't had one of those in forever! So while Caleb napped we enjoyed! ;) Then once Caleb was awake, she announced that she had brought her swimsuit and would love to take Caleb in the pool...cool, I could sit back and relax in the shade and he could have fun in the sun with grandma! :)

One of Caleb's favorite parts was pouring water on grandma's head, he kept laughing so hard everytime he did it! :)
Grandma was showing him how to kick his legs in the water and blow bubbles like a motor boat!
One of our neighbors came down with their kids along with lots of cool toys to share! Caleb LOVED this little car...good to know, we may be making a purchase sometime soon! ;0)

He thought this whale was pretty fun too! He stayed in the pool for a little over an hour! He had a blast!!! :)

Joshua Joseph Nguyen

Yesterday I got the opportunity to be a “model” for some RNs training to do ultrasounds at CAPS (College Avenue Pregnancy Center). It was a blessing for me to be able to do it, as it gave Pat and I the chance to see our little boy again, especially since we really didn’t get to see him super well at our last appt, as they were more focused on checking for areas of concern, with the cysts, etc! (which we are still waiting to find out more, at our next appt in a few weeks). This time however we got to see him moving and grooving around! Yay! All the nurses who were training were super nice, the last girl caught these great shots…..

I'd like to introduce to you

Joshua Joseph Nguyen

(J.J. for short :))

Saying Hi! :)

You can't see his arm well, but he had just raised his hand to his mouth and looked like he might be sucking his thumb! :)

How we chose his name:
Joshua means God is my salvation and Joseph means increase, addition, may God multiply. (perfect for baby # 2 :) haha!)
Actually we knew for sure we wanted Joseph as his middle name, even before we settled on a first name, Joseph is my Grandpa's name, he played a huge part in my life, especially in my growing up years and I really wish he could have been here to meet his great grandsons!
As for Joshua, it took me a little while to decide I liked it, but Pat thought it was absolutely perfect because now we will have Caleb AND Joshua!!! The two faithful, brave spies, who brought back a good report! :) And I have to admit J.J. for a nickname is pretty cute!

Looking forward to all of you meeting our little Joshua Joseph in a few short months! :)

It's A........

Ok...I apologize for the delay in posting our news on here

But here we go, so looks like on Nov.4th The Nguyen family will be welcoming....drum roll please...oh who am I kidding, most of you already know..haha....

It's A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Caleb is going to LOVE having a baby brother!!!!
(unfortunately we didn't get any really good ultrasound shots this time around, but have a couple more scheduled, so I promise to post some good ones when I get them!)

On another note please keep our little baby boy in your prayers, during the ultrasound they discovered a couple small cysts on his brain/head area, which can be a "soft" sign of a genetic disorder called Trisomy 18, which would be very serious! However thankfully the doctor reassured us that he saw no other signs of the condition and was fairly sure our son does not have the condition and that most likely the cysts will go away on their own...however we have to be rechecked in a month and it is definitely still a little nerve wracking, so we definitely appreciate everyone's prayers! Thank you all so much! I am sure everything will be fine, and I have been reassured by a couple friends that their babies experienced the same things and are now perfectly healthy and fine! Still the worry won't be gone til we know for sure! We'll keep you posted! :)

Practicing to be a Big Brother!

We were having a lazy morning at home when Caleb climbed into the rocking chair, I handed him his baby Elmo and a bottle he had been playing with and he knew exactly what to do...

First smile for the camera! haha!

Then give the baby some milk...

When the baby's all done you have to give them kisses!

After a few minutes he got down and went into his bedroom, he returned with the wipes from his changing table...he put Elmo on the couch, and this is what happened next...

I'd say Caleb's on his way to being a pretty great big brother when his new brother or sister arrives! (we find out next week if it's a boy or a girl, so stay tuned! :))

Oh and Caleb's vote for a baby name.....ELMO!!!! HAHAHA! :p

A Visit with Family!

So I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged! Time Flies! He,he!

Well I wanted to make sure I got these up! At the end of last month, Caleb's Aunt Wendy & Uncle Tony and his cousins Madisyn, Bailey, Kira & Lauren came from Oregon to LA for a visit, so we all stayed at Aunt Kathy & Uncle Billy's house for a little family fun! We were so excited, it had been almost a year since Caleb had seen any of his cousins...the only thing that was missing was his other aunts & uncles and cousins that were still in Oregon (we missed you guys tons!)

Here's a little peak at our weekend of family fun!

One of Caleb's favorite things about Aunt Kathy & Uncle Billy's house was their 2 dogs, he LOVED them!

On the first day we headed to Hunnington Beach, it ended up being a little bit chillier than we had anticipated, but still lots of fun!

While Caleb was napping one day, the cousins all decorated Easter Eggs (yes it was AFTER Easter!he,he) and Pat hid them for a mini Easter Egg Hunt!

Madisyn & Kira were such great helpers with Caleb as we waited for the guys to pick up lunch! :)

It was a super warm weekend and perfect for swimming, before the "real" pool, Kira, Lolo & Caleb checked out the mini pool in Wendy's sister, Linda's backyard! Caleb wasn't too sure he liked it...

...but he LOVED the real pool!!! :) watch out Bailey, here he comes!!!

After swimming, Caleb was very interested in what his big cousin Madisyn was up too! :) So cute!

It was such a fun weekend, but way too short! I loved getting to see Caleb play with his cousins! We wish they lived closer!!!

We miss you guys already and can't wait to see the WHOLE family hopefully sometime soon!!! xoxo

Easter Celebrations!!!

Our Easter Celebrations started on Saturday morning, when we bundled Caleb up and took him to the annual Easter Egg Hunt at a park right around the corner from our house! Grandma came too, to join in the fun!

On Easter Sunday, after a great message at church, we headed to Escondido to spend time with the rest of my family!

Then it was time to do some more Egg Hunting...this time he knew just what to do!

Caleb had so much fun this Easter! I love getting to celebrate the Holidays with him! Here's a shot of our whole family after Easter Service!

Oh yeah, and last but not least in the midst of this Easter week, we got to sneak a peek at the newest member of the Nguyen family arriving in early November! :)

Here is Baby # 2 at 10 weeks! Looking good and with a nice strong heartbeat! Praise the Lord! I love this shot with legs in the air! :)

Our very own little Jelly Bean! he,he! We can't wait to find out if Caleb will have a brother or sister!!!! Hmmmm...what do you think??? :)

Four Years of Love!!! :)

Four years ago today I married my Best Friend & My True Love!

What a beautiful day it was and what a beautiful life God has blessed us with!!!
